Easter expected
Goldcar and Econorent are reporting high the
expected demand for the start of Easter and the
has been reflected by a number of stop sales
(no cars available) at certain location and an
increase of up to three times the price for the
rest of March.
The new higher rates with Goldcar for the end
of March will be online from 3pm
25th January so we are urging people
to book as soon as possible to get the cheapest
rates and guarantee your car.
In other News Goldcar want to inform you that
our Pisa office will be open from 27.02.12
onwards.
HiGear
in California Closed down -
HiGear,
a luxury car sharing company based in
California, shut down this week because of
several thefts of their members’
vehicles. It appears that a ring of
professional car thieves couldn’t pass up
the temptation of stealing the range of luxury
and classic cars after simply being handed the
keys to the vehicles. The robbers used stolen
credit cards and identities to bypass the
member security checks run on them by HiGear.
Four cars belonging to the scheme’s
members were stolen, amounting to $300,000.
It’s possible that the members even
handed the keys over to the thieves
themselves.
